Bursting through by cloistering Bursting through by cloistering
Bursting through contamination
these fiery bounds
past genetic pull
emerge pushing limitations
past the smokescreen handed down
soar in clear thin air once more
feel free again

I seek to understand emotionally, each word gaining importance in sinking into consciousness, spreading sequences of associations.

;-):-) ... prompted me to check into Nivek Ogre :thanks::thanks:
(There is this visceral suit in the background on his interview on YouTube, would love to see him perform in it, I have a penchant for hiding on stage in transformative costume...)
Still looking for "Tin Omen"

Glad you liked it, he used to be a neighbor of mine when I lived in Toronto many years ago. Seen SKINNY PUPPY many times, but not the suit you saw, that came after he moved to B.C.
"Tin Omen" is on the "RABIES"
album they did in collaboration with Alien Jourgensen and MINISTRY

Tell me more about your 'transformative costume' -very interested -what stage and with who? are there pictures of?

Lucky to have a neighbor like him. Thanks for the info.

Well I am not a performing artist, my own forays have been limited to wearing costumes and my sculpture at events, extending into a kind of ritual performance at times. I posted some stuff years ago on another site but lost the files in a computer failure.
A new full evening performance installation is in development by Gary Vlasic, (a performance artist, dancer and visual artist) for Trasa Urban Arts Organization, entitled "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts" based on the musical score of David Byrne and Brian Eno and the novel of the same name by Amos Tutuola. Gary asked me to participate in it. [link]

Very familiar with that Eno/Byrne album and Tutuola's book.
I've worn out two vinyl albums, and now have to resort to the CD!!
Have the video for "The Catherine Wheel" as well.
Checked out (and tagged for future reference)the link, looks like something I'd really dig, too bad it's so far away!!
If photos/video are taken, please let me know

How wonderful, you know more about it than I do.
Another friend, Jan Andrews is a filmmaker on the project, I am sure she'll videotape it, she taped Gary's recent exhibit.

Sounds like you have a very interesting artistic community happening there, shame I'm so far away, or I'd be jumping in with both feet!!

RE:"Transformative Costumes"
Are you familiar with the RESIDENTS? They do totally original performance art. One of their shows, about the history of music in America, had a segment about Gospel music and 3 dancers (representing a black choir)in abstract cubist-shaped costumes gradually grew from 4 ft to over 15 !! (Still haven't figured out how they did it)
They have a lot of stuff at Youtube, but not that one.

Yes we do and it has been growing tremendously in recent years, along with the Sundance Film Festival...
Well, at least the internet allows jumping long distances ;-) I'll introduce your links to friends...

Don't know the RESIDENTS, :-) so much to check out! :thanks::thanks:
