This shows 1 panel from a wall I made for a show in Germany (1995) for the opening of the newly renovated "Künstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral". The entire wall was entitled "Land of Opportunity"... as such a political statement. It does not fit any category, as it is part sculpture, part digital representation, part painting. …Yes, the entire wall was made of chewed up gum constellations. ...moved the category to manipulation, the closest applicable category that allows for conceptual. Given the time frame, there is a lot of traditional work involved. |
